The Tuli Area Musicians Forum (TAMF) organised a charity concert at Arrow Club Ground, Tuliyong Ward, Tuli Town, on August 22 to extend support to families affected by the recent floods in the Tuli area.
The concert brought together local musicians and performers, including The Echoes, The Knights, Tuli Musicians, The Kids Band, Temjen Soba, Chubakatila, Sentikala, Nungdennungla, Walujula and Imonenla, among others.
The funds raised during the concert were later handed over to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Tuli, for relief and assistance to the recent flood victims.
Earlier in the day, TAMF, in collaboration with the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), Government of Nagaland, conducted a Masterclass on the Business of Music at Chiyongtsu Restaurant. The programme focused on the professional and business aspects of the music industry and sought to equip musicians and aspiring artists with knowledge to build sustainable careers in music.
The masterclass featured sessions by Ritnika Nayan, Temsujungba Jamir and Sunep Lemtur. Ritnika Nayan conducted the first and fourth sessions, while Temsujungba Jamir and Sunep Lemtur led the second and third sessions respectively.
The programme began with a welcome note by Chairman TAMF and Deputy Chairman of Tuli Town Council, L Moatjemjen followed by a felicitation by General Secretary, TAMF, Tiatoshi Imsong. Chairman TaFMA, Theja Meru also addressed the gathering. The masterclass was held under the theme “Building Dreams Together” and also featured a Tuli Showcase Concert, highlighting local musical talent.
Meanwhile, Imna Yaden served as the show patron for the evening charity concert, while Imli, Associate Pastor, Youth Ministry, Tuli Town, led the invocation. Theja Meru delivered the exhortation.
The charity initiative sought to unite the local music community and residents in support of flood-affected families, carrying the message “One Community. One Heart. One Helping Hand.”
