TASU to adopt three GMSs and one GPS
A press release issued by TASU press and corresponding secretary, Moba A. S. Konyak stated that during the federal meeting, TASU decided to adopt three Government Middle Schools (GMSs) and one Government Primary School (GPS) with the support of the village council, village education committee and federating units under “Teach for Tobu” initiative. It will be officially launched by the last week of January 2019, the release stated.
TASU will also undertake measures to strengthen the Primary Health Centre and sub-centre under Tobu block. The year 2019 was declared the year of “Good Health and Education” by Sangti Konyak, president TASU, in the opening speech.
Bongkhao, advisor DUDA along with Nyakho, president NDPP 55 A/C Tobu attended the opening program as special invitees.
In the closing event, Yangba, senior SP Longleng and Brigadier Suresh Sheoren, DIG 7 sector Tuensang attended the program as special invitees.
The DIG also distributed sports goods to all the 13 teams and donated a cash prize to the organizer. TTSU won the football match and MVSU emerged as the runners up. In the men’s volleyball event, TVSU emerged as the winner and PVSU was the runner up. CVSU and PVSU were the winners and runner ups respectively in the women’s volleyball event.
Other events such as Miss TASU, literary and cultural nights were also held during which Moba, BDO Tobu, Dr. Chemang Paul and Chingmak Kumchuba, president of CCSU attended the program as special invitees.
