Taxes dept to roll out online application for Profession Tax

To facilitate ease of doing business in the State, the State Taxes department has developed an application software for registration and payment of Profession Tax.
According to a notification issued by commissioner of State Taxes, Abhinav Shivam, the software for registration will be rolled out from October 1, 2025, and will be made available on the department’s website– www.nagalandtax.nic.in– for access by all concerned.
All persons liable for registration and payment of Profession Tax have been directed to get themselves registered or enrolled, as the case may be, the commissioner said.
The website will also provide step-by-step process flow for registration and enrollment, classification of persons, applicable rates of Profession Tax and helpdesk support.
