TCD conducts ‘Walk for Clean Dimapur’

Commemorating its first foundation day, Team Clean Dimapur (TCD) conducted its “Walk for Clean Dimapur” in collaboration with DMC, from PWD junction-Dhobinalla-Nyamo Lotha Road-Fly Over to Super Market.
The walk conducted with the aim to create awareness among citizens on keeping their surroundings clean and healthy. 
Students from various schools and colleges participated in huge numbers with placards. Different civil societies of Dimapur also participated, encouraged and exhorted the gathering. 
Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD), Dimapur District Citizens Forum (DDCF), Dimapur Urban Chairmen Council Forum (DUCCF), Muslim Council Dimapur (MCD), teacher-in-charge of Government College, Ramjanaki Higher Secondary School, Ebenezer Orphanage Home were some of the guest speakers on the occasion.
TCD, a group of young and old people alike is a purely voluntary service for the people of Dimapur city and it has installed over 70 dustbins in and around the city, conducted seminars in schools and colleges and planted around a thousand tree saplings.
The team also conducts cleanliness drives twice a month to spread awareness and to instill in every individual a sense of belonging and responsibility to the place they live in.
A press note from TCD stated that it was every individual’s bounden duty to keep one’s environment clean. It stated that interested persons can connect with the team on facebook and be participants in the efforts for a healthier and cleaner Dimapur.
