Thenyizumi Christian Fellowship Kohima celebrates Silver Jubilee

Thenyizumi Christian Fellowship Kohima (TCFK) celebrated its Silver Jubilee at Indira Gandhi Stadium, on Sunday.
Administrator, Rainbow Academy, Dimapur, Dr Adela Mero, who graced as the speaker emphasized on walking in faith that required discipline, knowing and experience God.


Dr. Mero also cited Biblical personalities such as – Moses, Abraham and Enoch, and implored the gathering to emulate the life in the journey of faith, by surrendering to God.
He also shared the gathering to not belittle God in pursuit of their dreams and life but put their trust and faith in Jesus Christ to lead them the way.


Delivering greetings, chairman, Thenyizumi Union Kohima (TUK) Besuhu Dawhuo, who was also the first chairman of TCFK and recalled how the fellowship was formed as Thenyizumi Union Home Evangelical Fellowship Kohima way back 25 years ago.


He recounted the fellowship irrespective of the denominations have journeyed over the years and paid tribute to the pioneer leaders and those departed souls who have contributed towards the growth of the fellowship.
Commissioner and secretary Women Resources Development, Zhothisa Dawhuo released the souvenir to commemorate the event while Dr Adela Mero unveiled the 25th Silver Jubilee monolith.
Convenor, organising committee, Vezhoto Nakro delivered the welcome address and acknowledged the pioneers and elders of the fellowship.


A special song was presented by the TCFK Jubilee Choir and a special presentation by male voice and Uta Ulimiko. Invocation was said by pastor CRC Thenyizu, Rev Veshoseyi Rhakho, thanksgiving prayer by pastor, Thenyizumi Baptist Thepuzhoyi Theyo and benediction by Catechist, St Andrew Church Thenyizu, Thedüseyi Poru.
Oldest person in Thenyizumi village, Zasehu Theyo, prayed for the Jubilee feast. The programme was led by Vekhoto Thisa, vice-chairman, TCFK, offertory prayer by Khusane Veswü, Women Pastor, CRC Kohima and vote of thanks by Er Mhaseto Nakro.
