
Affirmative action programme (AAP) initiated by Sub-Regional Employment Office (SREMO) along with Model Career Centre (MCC)/Regional Employment Exchange) in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was completed on December 12, at conference hall, Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Kohima. A press release from MCC/Regional Employment Exchange, Kohima stated that, training was launched on November 25 and focused on enhancing and improving the confidence level of the participants and their communication skills in English and analytical reasoning. TCS AA programme aims at providing free employability training for the SC/ST and extremely economically backward candidates from Minority and other social groups of the country. All candidates who completed the training received a certificate of completion & appreciation. They will also have the opportunity to be selected by TCS and be part of this corporate giant awarded the best employer and is one of the top five employers in the world. Interview after completion of training for the candidates with TCS was also conducted on December 13 and further information will be published after completion and final selection of the candidates. The felicitation programme was attended by the additional director, joint director, Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, SREO Kohima, ITI principal and officers of MCC, Kohima.
