The Tuensang District Football Association (TDFA) has issued a notification inviting applications for the registration of football tournaments and clubs under its jurisdiction. The initiative is part of the association’s effort to streamline football activities and strengthen grassroots development in the district.
According to the notification, registration is mandatory for all tournaments, including those already in existence as well as new ones. Organizers intending to conduct or who have been conducting football tournaments are required to submit detailed information such as the name of the tournament, type of competition (knockout or league), age category, venue details, year of establishment, tentative month, prize details and complete organizer credentials.
Similarly, football clubs have been instructed to furnish details including the club’s name, year of establishment, address, contact information, office bearers, number of players, age category, achievements, participation history and official jersey colors. Clubs must also attach relevant documents such as the club constitution or bye-laws, identification proof of office bearers and a formal application along with the registration form.
TDFA emphasized that all applicants must submit a declaration affirming the accuracy of the information provided and agreeing to abide by the rules and regulations of the association. The registration process, it stated, is essential to ensure proper coordination, transparency and the promotion of organized football within the district.
