Tuensang District Legal Services Authority (TDLSA), in collaboration with the district administration, organized a mini legal services camp at Noksen Town on February 27, covering five villages and Noksen Town under Noksen block.
The programme was led by panel lawyer Ayangla Chang, with invocation by pastor W. Lachumong of Noksen Town Baptist Church. TDLSA secretary, Kumdilong Kessen, delivered the welcome address, while assistant public prosecutor Sonkang Himjai Chang conducted an awareness session. Retainer lawyer P. Herola delivered the vote of thanks.
Eight departments from the district participated in the camp, extending services to a large number of beneficiaries.
Social Welfare Department reached 190 individuals, the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer Noksen assisted 97, and the Agriculture Department benefited 21 farmers with free seeds. Medical Department provided services to 193 people along with free medicines, while the Horticulture Department assisted 24.
Food and Civil Supplies recorded the highest beneficiaries at 265, followed by the Department of Economics and Statistics with 130.
Aadhaar correction services were availed by 70 individuals, and Tuensang DLSA itself reached 210 beneficiaries.
The camp aimed to extend legal awareness and welfare services to the grassroots, ensuring access to justice and government schemes for the people of Noksen block.
