
Introductory programme in honour of advisor to chief minister for Technical Education (TE) and Election departments (ED), Medo Yhokha was held at the directorate of Technical Education on December 8.
According to DIPR report, Medo Yhokha asserted that the subject matter of technical education dealt with the career of the youths and hence the future of the state, whereby the career of the future generation should not be compromised under any circumstance. He also stressed on the importance of skills development of the youth referring to the government of India policy “Skill India.” Commissioner & secretary of Higher & Technical Education, Imjung M Panger highlighted the position of staff and officers, while also stressing on streamlining the department in order to place things in the right perspective to reduce the problems faced by the department.
Deputy director, Er. Khrieketoulie Rupreo gave a powerpoint presentation on the main activities of the department and also highlighted priority works which needed immediate attention. Earlier, programme started with invocation by Tiakaba Amer, project director, directorate of Technical Education and vote of thanks was delivered by Nungsangmenla Imchen, ex-officio director, Technical Education.
