Team from Maharashtra in State to study communitisation

A team from Maharashtra led by Dr. Raju Jotkar, Deputy Director of NHM, Maharashtra, visited Mokokchung on January 22 with a purpose to learn the communitisation activities in Mokokchung district in order to implement the same in tribal areas of Maharashtra.
Team of six officials from Maharashtra along with officials from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima, and officials from CMO Mokokchung visited Mopungchuket village and Longkhum village on January 23.
During their visit, the team interacted with different groups of people including village council, village health committee, ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, church workers and women groups in the village regarding the communitisation activity in the villages.
The team was impressed by the high level of community participation in the health care delivery system of the village. Later, the team also visited the Impur Mission Hospital and interacted with the doctor and staff of the hospital.
