Team Metamorphosis celebrates 21st Foundation Day

WOKHA, OCT 2 (NPN): Team Metamorphosis celebrated its 21st Foundation Day at New Wokha Village on October 2, with several individuals honoured with national awards for their contributions in diverse fields including peace advocacy, education, youth development and leadership, community and social service, journalism and public service.
The awards were conferred upon Dr. Thungchibemo Lotha, Amos Odyuo, Mharhomo V. Murry, M. Wonchio Odyuo, Achanbeni M. Lotha, Oreno, Dr. N. Yanpothung Ezung, and Abenthung Kikon.
Speaking at the celebration, Rev. Khonbemo P. Kikon, former executive secretary of the Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA), commended Team Metamorphosis, led by Dr. Thungdemo Kyong, for its continued service to society.
He acknowledged the dedication and sacrifices of its members, particularly highlighting Dr. Kyong’s contribution as a voluntary blood donor, having donated blood 33 times to help save lives.
Rev. Kikon said the organisation’s efforts and achievements have been recognised across Wokha district and Nagaland. As Team Metamorphosis moves towards its silver jubilee, he encouraged members to continue their service to society and expressed hope that the organisation would gain greater national and international recognition in the years ahead.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Thungdemo Kyong, while pastor Chiben Humtsoe of Wokha Village Baptist Church invoked blessings. A special number was presented by Lumka Ngullie, and Dr. Thungchibemo Lotha proposed the vote of thanks.
The celebration concluded with a prayer of blessing offered by Rev. Khonbemo P. Kikon, attended by family members, friends and well wishers.
