Technology Clinic on digital fabric printing in Chümoukedima

DIMAPUR: Department of Industries and Commerce, in collaboration with Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (NIDC), organised a four-day technology clinic on “Digital Fabric Printing: Industrial Processes & Design Technology” under the Rising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme, with technical support from Mongken Apparel Unit.
The clinic, held from February 16 to 20 at Mongken Apparel Unit, Chümoukedima, brought together 51 entrepreneurs from across Nagaland. The programme was conducted in two batches, with each batch undergoing a two-day session.
Technical Production Head, Er. Temsumoa Yaden, conducted sessions on Textile Digital Printing & Colour Management and Textile Process Engineering: Fixation & Finishing. Fashion Design & Styling Faculty, Zaren Lotha, and Design & Production Development Faculty Manager, Putuienla Walling, led sessions on Textile Sewing Engineering & Production Control.
Participants were provided exposure to various textile printing and designing machineries and gained hands-on experience in the end-to-end process of digital textile printing.
Technology clinics under RAMP bring together experts and technocrats to equip entrepreneurs with practical knowledge for enterprise upgradation. The initiative plays a crucial role in supporting post COVID-19 recovery efforts, enabling entrepreneurs and MSMEs in Nagaland to adopt emerging technologies and modernise their businesses to remain competitive in an evolving economic landscape.
