Telecom cables: Admin conducts spot verification

Following the 30-day deadline served on all the telecom service providers for removal of telecom cables haphazardly placed along national highway from Purana Bazaar to Chumukedima town, the administration started the first phase of spot verification.

According to DPRO Dimapur report, cables causing obstruction and nuisance to the public were being removed for noncompliance/inaction from the responsible service provider.

Further, the administration reminded all telecom/internet service providers to expedite the process of rectification and proper placement before the start of the second phase of verification.
