Tening ACCC vows grassroots strengthening

DIMAPUR: Over 230 members from Tening, Mbaulwa and Nsong ranges attended the 1st executive meeting of 6-Tening Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) and reaffirmed their commitment to work for change.
The meeting was held on April 25 at Tening Town Hall with the participation of BLAs, village unit leaders and senior party members.
The ACCC extended gratitude to the DCC, DYC, DMCC and NPCC for their steadfast support. Addressing the gathering, Namrachang Hegui, president DCC, highlighted the vision of S. Supongmeren Jamir, MP (Lok Sabha) and NPCC president, while expressing concern over long standing neglect of infrastructure in education, health and economic sectors.
He stressed the need to elect a capable MLA to remove the ‘backward’ tag from the constituency.
Dr. Tumda Newme criticised the present dispensation for making Tening A/C a “political prostitute” and urged members to stand united to send a Congress MLA to the next Nagaland Legislative Assembly. Tarie Zeliang emphasised cohesion and coordination among party workers, while Rosy Thomson, general secretary NPCC and in charge Peren district, called for an intensive membership drive across the constituency. The meeting concluded with a collective resolution to intensify grassroots programmes and strengthen unity.
