Test drive for Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, a premium SUV that combines performance with sustainability was carried out at Okusa Toyota, Thilixu village, Dimapur on Wednesday.
Available in two powertrains—Neo Drive and Self-Charging Strong Hybrid Electric—the Hyryder promises best-in-class fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl. Inspired by Toyota’s global SUV design, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder comes equipped with features like an all-wheel drive (AWD) system, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, and wireless charging.
It offers advanced safety measures, including six airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Hold Control, and a 360-degree camera.
Connectivity is a major highlight, with Toyota i-Connect offering 55+ features, smartwatch integration, and remote vehicle control.
The SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre engine with Toyota Hybrid System (THS) for its Strong Hybrid variant, while the Neo Drive variant features a 1.5-litre K-series engine with Integrated Starter Generator (ISG).
Both versions offer multiple transmission options, including a first-in-segment AWD. Dimapur, a key automotive hub in Nagaland, is expected to see strong demand for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. With rising interest in fuel-efficient and hybrid vehicles, Toyota’s latest SUV is likely to attract customers seeking eco-friendly options.
