Tetso College inaugurates State’s 1st pro-grade video production studio

Tetso College on March 10 inaugurated Nagaland’s first professional-grade video production studio and opened the 7th edition of the A&D Solar Enterprise Pow-woW Arena National Level Sports Festival at its campus in Dimapur, with model and actor Andrea Kevichüsa attending as special guest.
The newly launched Miyazaki Narrative Lab, a professional video production studio equipped with industry-standard broadcasting technology, soundproofing facilities and high-end post-production suites, aims to strengthen mass communication and media studies in the state.
Speaking at the event, Tetso College principal Dr Hewasa L Khing said the studio would provide students with a platform to produce professional-level content and help bridge the gap between academic learning and industry standards. She added that the facility would also encourage creative storytelling and media training among youth in Nagaland.
The Pow-woW Arena festival, regarded as one of the largest youth festivals in the state, has drawn participation from 32 institutions, including three from Assam. The four-day festival will feature competitions across nine sporting disciplines.
During the inaugural programme, Andrea Kevichüsa and A&D Solar Enterprise manager Müle Puro were felicitated by the Tetso community. Delivering the welcome address, Dr Khing thanked sponsors and participating institutions and encouraged students to strive for excellence while building lasting friendships through sportsmanship.
A musical performance of “Viva la Vida” by the Department of Music marked the cultural segment of the event.
In his address, Puro highlighted the vision behind the Pow-woW festival and emphasised the role of youth in promoting sustainability and responsible citizenship.
The programme also included felicitation of students for their participation in Tetso Impact Week under the categories of social media engagement and content delivery.
In her special address, Kevichüsa encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones with discipline, determination and courage, and stressed that participation in sports alongside academics helps individuals cope with failures and challenges in life.
Sports coordinator Temsu Longkumer administered the oath-taking ceremony for participants, while festival convenor Dr Rajesh Tanti briefed attendees on the schedule and guidelines for the festival.
Kevichüsa later declared the A&D Solar Enterprise Pow-woW Arena National Level Sports Festival 2026 open. Media representatives, alumni and well-wishers attended the inaugural ceremony.
