The Pow-woW Arena National Level Youth Festival 2026, hosted by A&D Solar Enterprise in collaboration with Tetso College, concluded on March 13 at Tetso College. The four-day festival, held from March 10 to 13, brought together 33 institutes from across Nagaland and beyond, showcasing a vibrant mix of sportsmanship, talent and youthful energy.
Director of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland, Kethosituo Sekhose, graced the closing ceremony as the special guest and presented the overall championship trophy to Tetso College, while Dimapur Government College emerged as the runners-up.
The festival featured a wide range of competitions. In football (men), St. Joseph University (B) clinched the title, while Dimapur Government College secured second place. Eastern Christian College won the men’s volleyball event, with Dimapur Government College as runners-up, whereas Dimapur Government College triumphed in women’s volleyball, defeating Immanuel College. Tetso College dominated basketball (men), while St. Joseph University took the women’s basketball crown. Patkai Christian College excelled in chess, and Tetso College secured victories in badminton men’s singles and doubles, as well as women’s doubles.
People’s College won the women’s singles badminton event, while Royal Global University and Fazl Ali College took runner-up positions in men’s and women’s singles respectively. Unity College showcased strength in arm wrestling, winning both left and right-hand categories, while Sazolie College stood out in Naga wrestling. Kaziranga University claimed the men’s powerlifting title, and Dimapur Government College emerged victorious in the Mobile Legend e-sports competition.
In his address, Sekhose inspired the youth by emphasizing dedication, networking, and sportsmanship as essential qualities for future leaders. He highlighted the vision of Viksit Bharat and encouraged students to actively participate in upcoming events, particularly the North East Youth Festival scheduled from March 18 to 20, with Tetso College hosting the final two days. He also expressed gratitude to Tetso College for its continued partnership in promoting sports infrastructure and growth in Nagaland.
Head of the Department of English at Tetso College, Dr. Asenla Yanger, applauded the grit and determination of all participants, stressing the importance of sports platforms for students. She reminded the gathering that the second part of the Pow-woW Youth Festival, titled Pow-woW Lore, focusing on literary and intellectual events, will be held in September 2026. The closing ceremony concluded with cultural performances, including a presentation by the Tetso Dance Club and a special performance by Keneisenuo Sorhie.
