Tesophenyu Group Public Union Chumukedima has strongly condemned the March 11 incident, wherein residence of Chenny Rengma of Tesophenyu village was attacked and damaged by one government official. A condemnation note by TGPU president, Tenoga Tep and general secretary, Mehailo Kath stated that the action of an educated government official was very unexpected and uncalled for. It cautioned that one should not take law into their hand and any issue should be solved amicably within the parameter of law. TGPU Chumukedima further stated that the illegal and aggressive act of the government official has hurt the sentiment of the peace loving citizen of Tesophenyu. It appealed the law enforcing authority to take appropriate action against the perpetrators to avoid further complications.
