Tesophenyu Group Public Union Dimapur (TGPU) has vehemently condemned the incident of March 11, wherein the residence of Chinny Rengma of Tesophenyu village was reportedly attacked and damaged by a government official.
In a press release, TGPU president Jonah Tep and general secretary, Mishak Jemu stated that such action by educated and responsible government servant was unwarranted and uncalled for. It stated that differences whatsoever should be resolved peacefully, democratically and in more civilized way instead of taking law into one’ own hand.
Tesophenyu Group Public Union Dimapur has also appealed to the administration and the law enforcing agencies to investigate the matter and initiate appropriate action against the perpetrators at the earliest in order to avoid any unwanted situation in the future which might occur out of this incident.
