Thahekhu village council (TVC) observed its 65th foundation day on March 15 at its local ground with an array of cultural performances.
Speaking at the programme, head GB, T. Hukiye Yeputho paid rich tributes to the founders of the village.
GB H. Tovito Aye highlighted that the village was founded by late Thahekhu and late Hejeto along with their followers, and these pioneers had decided to have only two GBs and thus, till today, Thahekhu has only two GBs. He added that there are currently 16 surviving members of the first settlers of Thahekhu village, and appealed to the members to remember the pioneers.
Head GB, Khehokhu village, Hokiye Yeptho also exhorted the gathering during the programme. During the programme, a portrait of Late Thahekhu, founder of Thahekhu village was unveiled by Pastor, Thahekhu Village Baptist Church, Tovishe Sema.
