Thanks giving programmes for MLA Namri Nchang was held on March 28 and April 5, at Tening and Ahthibung respectively.
MLA Namri Nchang thanked all the people for casting their vote in favour of him and said it was God who for chosen him to lead the people.
He urged the people to co-operate with him and the government, saying that the PDA government was unlike previous governments and committed to welfare of the people.
Speaking on the motto “Change is coming” he asserted that we need to change our attitudes and practice a healthy work culture and lend a helping to the government.
He also clarified on the counting result of 6th Tening A/C, saying that there had been no recounting of EVM but it had been tabulation error, where 200 excess votes were added in favour of the NPF candidate and the election commission had issued a directive to cancel the result declared in favour of NPF and declare him the winner.
Therefore, he said that the issue of vote counting had been resolved.
LBA executive secretary reverend Kitanwi Chewang and reverend K. Singsit blessed Namri Nchang at Tening and Ahthibung respectively.
