‘The Blood Alliance’ campaign launched at CISHR

To facilitate the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Chümoukedima district administration has initiated “The Blood Alliance”, which was launched on December 13 at CIHSR.
According to DIPR report, the initiative was taken after learning that the institutions struggle in maintaining a reserve of blood units besides the in-house demand.
The campaign aims to create a strong network of volunteers, the “blood Samaritans” who can register by contacting Arhomo C. Ngullie at 9436270915. Then the volunteers would be contacted by the institute in times of emergencies and whenever there was a requirement for blood, besides regular donations.
On the launching day, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chümoukedima, Abhinav Shivam along with donors from district police and staff, CRPF, DCP crime and officers, respective neighbouring villages, towns, and youth organizations donated blood.
Meanwhile, the district administration has appealed to all concerned citizens to come forward and help the institute to maintain a constant supply of blood reserve at all times.
