Nagaland-based band The Gluttones is set to take its ‘Modern Naga’ sound to international audiences, with performances scheduled in Singapore and Bangkok this month.
The band will perform at Music Matters Live in Singapore today, one of Asia’s major music showcase festivals. The Gluttones will share the stage with Naga artists Moko Koza, Shau Evans and Street Stories.
Following the Singapore performance, the band will travel to Bangkok, Thailand, where it is scheduled to perform at BRSU, Bangkok, on October 9.
The international performances come shortly after The Gluttones concluded its ‘Modern Naga Tour’ across Nagaland. As part of the tour, the band travelled to schools and colleges across the State, taking its music directly to students and local communities.
The tour sought to connect with young audiences while promoting contemporary Naga music and creative expression. The upcoming overseas performances mark a further step in the band’s efforts to take its ‘Modern Naga’ sound beyond the State and India.
