Despite the drizzle trying to dampen spirits, the much-anticipated musical extravaganza “The Last Summer” a major musical extravaganza powered through on Friday evening at the NEZCC, Chümoukedima, organized by Naga Nights.
The event turned into a true celebration of sound, taste, and community—bringing together not only music lovers but also families, foodies, and festival-goers looking for a night of fun. With food stalls serving local favorites and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, the concert offered something for everyone.
On stage, the lineup was nothing short of spectacular. From the high-octane performances of Polar Lights, Since 90’s, and J. Polland to the soulful numbers by WY Bohayin, Kim, and Riele, the audience was treated to a diverse musical feast. Host Vitoka Assumi kept the energy flowing, while DJ Theta had the crowd moving to his beats well into the night.
The initiative drew inspiration from the famed Hornbill Festival but carves out its own space, creating a much-needed platform dedicated to showcasing Nagaland’s homegrown talent. “The Last Summer” stood as a reminder that the state’s music scene is alive, thriving, and deserving of the spotlight.
Rounding out the star-studded lineup were Kikato T Ayemi, NLN Bono Swu, Banger, Gideon Sumi, and The Cousins, ensuring the show ended on a high note—rain or shine.
