The powerful teachers must act

It is disheartening and worrying that many Government schools in Nagaland has closed down due to nil student enrollment in the School, It is proved that the education system in the Government Schools has failed miserably due to non implementation of the policies and program, it obviously has cut the schooling and education particularly in the rural areas.
The main factor is the traditional way of function the School and teachers less prepared or rather unprepared teach the students. It is the teacher who must take the job and responsibility whole heartedly following the formulations laid by the department. If the teachers are committed and enthusiastic the school will thrive and keep functioning and shall prosper.
The teachers must think more do more and act faster to light the darkness of many children who have dropped out from the schools, they must not deviate from the centre of their professional which creates an imbalance in the students’ career. The teachers have to initiate prepare themselves to sacrifice for the children at any cost to create confidence and give them will to go through in any situation.
Most of the children studying in the Government schools are from first generation learner and least privilege but we must not let that circumstances neglect and marginalized them rather the optimistic steps must be taken to ensure and express fully to guide and shape overcoming all the barriers by educating them that there is always a place for the merit. It is at the crucial juncture that those from well to do family sent the children to private Schools and even from the least earned family preferred sending the children to private school this is because the non performance of the Government schools.
There are many countries that are widely have the best education system focused on student-centered learning and high teachers standards, like Japan has magnificently and well inculcated towards the school education imparting the children satisfactorily. More than 90 percent of the School in Japan is Government Schools and the teachers are considered as the powerhouse of education and trustees, Japan citizens rely on the teachers of upbringing their children from the outset discipline first and teachers abide and act phenomenally nurtures the children as they are the future assets of the nation.
The teachers believe that they are the architecture of the nation builders which have deep rooted and bonded with the proper system of guiding and mentoring the students at every level preparing them accustomed to the pattern of learning.
In our state though the teachers are qualified and recruited through open competitive exam parents are reluctant to send the children to Government Schools and almost students comes from a marginalized family studies in the Government School.
Thus to bring these students confident and create optimistic, it demand understanding, genuine sympathy towards them by teaching them to learn and grow well though the challenges and efforts that put teachers sometimes exhausted but the smiles and curiosity on their faces reflects the zeal in them.
The teachers have to play a significant role of managing and monitoring the class room environment of how they teach and students learn and assess the outcome and any anomalies detected can be corrected instantly.
The teachers give their best may not be enough but have to do what is required to save the school from being closed and bring a better change otherwise the Government school will close drastically due to drop out students and many flock of students are chasing after the private schools.
Under the dynamic of Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor for School Education and SCERT a well educated and qualified has been efficiently and effectively reshaping the department by implementing proper policies and introducing continuous training and program knowing that this department shapes and mould the upcoming generations. Hope the teachers foresees and pro act in no time, for many schools are on the verge to get closed.
