“The South Town”, a restaurant managed by the Assembly of God (AOG), was inaugurated by advisor of Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi at Naga Shopping Arcade, Super Market, here on Monday.
Addressing the gathering as special guest, Tovihoto acknowledged AOG for coming up with the idea to open a restaurant as a revenue generator for resources to be used in its missions and evangelism.
He noted that it was difficult for any Church or social organization to conveniently move forward without resources, and therefore expressed the hope that the revenue generated from the restaurant would be a beginning for the extension of His kingdom, and also prayed that the ministry would grow strength in strength.
He thanked AOG for the restaurant’s motto, “Business as Mission” and for coming up with brilliant idea in bringing South Indian food to Dimapur.
Earlier, delivering the welcome address, general superintendent, AGEI, Rev Moses Murry, stated that the restaurant was a chain of AOG, and informed that whatever little profit that was generated from the restaurant would be used in evangelism and missionary works in the North East.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by youth director, AGEI, pastor Kevihulie Pienyü, invocation offered by advisor, CFD, Rev N Paphino, and special song by Ruth Murry.
A short message was also delivered by BAN member, Tiatemsu Longchar, in place of president, BAN, Mongkum Jamir, while prayer of blessing was offered by vice chairman, CFD, Rev Vitoshe Swu, and benediction by superintendent, AOG Nagaland, Rev Tusaya Kath.
It can be noted that the restaurant will be specialized in Hyderabad Biryani.
