Nzan Kikon, a counselling psychologist by profession, has released a novel titled “The Starry Night” published by PenThrill publications on August 18.
A press release from YouthNet stated that the book was released by director of YouthNet, Lezo Putsüre at Hotel Ura, Kohima. Lezo Putsure, in his speech, commented that writing and its implementation was the hardest thing, stating that it takes intelligence, critical thinking, and grammar. He also commended PenThrill for opening doors for many people both young and old.
In her publisher’s note, Vishü Rita Krocha said, writing, like everything else, required a great amount of dedication. She congratulated Nzan Kikon for setting his heart to writing and bringing out a novel as a result.
The author also read from the book while a review by Fabian W. Marbaniang, (HoD, English department, Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong) was read out by Mimi Suohu, KROS College, Kohima. Other highlights of the program included a prayer by Magdalene Ezung, pastor, Faith Harvest Church, Kohima; special number by Ayim Longchar; and acknowledgements by Tracy Kikon. The program was chaired by Vavine Roshi.
