Thematic exhibition sponsored by the office of the development commissioner (handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, government of India and organised by Nagaland Empowerment of People through Economic Development (NEPED) got underway on June 17 at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima. The exhibition would culminate on June 23.
In a press release, NEPED informed that the exhibition was inaugurated by special guest, NEPED chairman, Kevechutso Doulo in the presence of guest of honour, Sr. assistant director (H) HSC, Kohima, T. Rolliee Vareishim and NEPED team leader, K. Libanthung Lotha.
The special guest while inaugurating the exhibition thanked the development commissioner (handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles for giving the opportunity and platform for the artisans to exhibit and sell their products.
He also urged the public to visit the exhibitions to witness the attractive handicrafts, textiles, jewellery, jute craft and other items.
NEPED has informed that 20 artisans from Nagaland and Assam are participating in the exhibition.
