Nagaland University joined the rest of the nation in celebrating the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervor and a significant step forward in its infrastructural development. Marking the occasion, the university inaugurated three new buildings aimed at strengthening the cause of higher education in the state and enhancing the university’s academic infrastructure.
According to a press release issued by Nagaland University, the vice chancellor, professor J.K. Patnaik, formally inaugurated the newly completed administrative building, VIP guest house, and the new science faculty building. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of key university officials and stakeholders.
Dignitaries present at the event included the Registrar, Dr. Abemo, finance officer, Albert Khizho, CoE, Er. Yanrenthung Ezung, Deputy Registrar, Finance, & Nodal Officer, HEFA, Angunuo Khieya, and other stakeholders of the university
Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik expressed his deep appreciation to all those involved in bringing the projects to fruition. He highlighted the importance of the new facilities in furthering the university’s mission and revealed that several more infrastructural projects are currently in the pipeline. Prayers for the newly inaugurated buildings were led by the pastor of Lumami Baptist Church.
