Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) commenced its three-day convention on December 1 at Agri Expo, Chümoukdeima, drawing more than 1500 attendees from across the state on the first day itself. The convention is being held under the theme “Who satisfies your desires with good things. Psalms 103:5”, aiming to foster religious unity and spiritual revival.
Speaking with a section of media after the dedicatory programme, convener NCRC convention, Rev. Dr. N Papinho shared insights into NCRC’s history, informing that it was established on January 9, 1962, and has now grown to encompass over 300 churches across the state.
Emphasizing on the convention’s significance, he highlighted that similar celebrations were taking place in over 2000 churches nationwide.
Inviting Nagas and individuals from neighboring states, irrespective of denominations, Rev. Dr. N Papinho urged them to partake in the spiritual rejuvenation offered by the convention.
The convention boasts esteemed speakers, including Mission Secretary NCRC, Rev. Dr. Imchayanger, and Pastor Sunday Oduola from London. Dedicatory prayer for the convention hall was offered by NCRC general secretary, Rev. Dr. Kiyezhe Chishi, and moderated by chairman NCRC Phom, B Longai Phom.
The inaugural day featured Rev. Dr. Imchayanger as the speaker, welcome remarks by president NCRC, Rev. Vangpong Phom, while an insightful exploration of revival history was addressed by pastor Diphupar CRC, Kruzieo. Adding a musical touch to the event NSRC Sumi Choir and ACRYA presented melodious songs, while Ado Kezo & Team led the praise and worship.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by chairman, Angami CRC Council, Rev. Dr. Kecha Seyie, and invocation offered by former NCRC treasurer, Rev. Bulechü Koza.
