Acting on a tip-off, District Intelligence Branch (DIB) of DEF Kohima intercepted two vehicles including a Scorpio bearing Registration No. NL-01/8347 and a Tata Sumo bearing Registration No. AS-11-E-6591 and apprehended three persons including a woman along with huge quantity of IMFL.
The accused persons have been identified as Kato Sema (31), son of Hoito Sema from Hoito village and resident of City Tower, Dimapur; A Bari (31), son of Majid from Golaghat (Nagoan) village and resident of Tenyiphe, Dimapur; and Aboli Zhimo (40), wife of Atovi Zhimo from Keyizu village and resident of 4th Mile, Dimapur.
Sub – Divisional Police Officer and PRO, Kohima, informed that a total of 1320 bottles of IMFL consisting of 768 bottles of MC Rum (64 cases), 480 bottles of Kingfisher Beer (20 cases) and 72 bottles of foster beer (3 cases) were seized from their possession.
The accused persons were arrested at around 1:30 a.m. on January 18 from Wokha road (Peducha) in Kohima district. He said case has been registered with Sechü (Zubza) police station.
