Earlier, when Alliance Air introduced the four-weekly flights (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday) with the 70-seater ATR, it was informed that a ticket for Guwahati-Dimapur flight would be Rs.1800 and a ticket for Dimapur-Imphal would be around Rs.162.
However, on Sunday, a passenger buying ticket for Dimapur-Guwahati had to pay Rs.9000. When queried, an airlines staff said prices escalate on account of heavy demand for ticket especially during festive seasons. However, according to sources, the Dimapur-Guwahati flight on Sunday was not packed. This leads to suspicions of ticketing manipulation.
