Timings for shopping in Dmu changed

Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi, in partial modification of the March 24, 2020 order, with a view to contain and prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to have more effective monitoring system, has asked all retail shops selling essential commodities under Dimapur to keep their shops open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. only. The public has been informed to do their shopping during the specified timing.  However, pharmacies and medical stores will remain open from 9 a.m. till normal business hours.

In another order, DC in partial modification of the March 24 order has directed all wholesalers in Dimapur to open from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. only . 

The DC further stated that the order will come into effect from April 1, 2020 and any person violating the order will be liable as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC.
