TMS inaugurates creative friendship centre at Noklak

The Miraculum Society (TMS), founded by former Miss Nagaland Vikuonuo Sachu, inaugurated its “Creative Friendship Centre for Children Noklak”, at High School Sector ‘B’, Noklak Town on July 9.
A press release from secretary TMS, informed that the centre was equipped with library and office which would focus on holistic development of youth. The centre was inaugurated by Col. Christopher and his wife Mryna Rego, who journeyed all the way from Bangalore to Noklak.
The couple were the founder of Sunbird Trust (ST) which funded the construction of the Centre and worked for the welfare of children in several states across North East India.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO of ST Col. Christopher encouraged the citizens to contribute their services even in future reminding them that community participation would take the vision forward.
Narrating his experiences as a former army officer in the North Eastern states, he mentioned how his love for the people motivated him to begin ST along with his beloved wife.
The CEO said that over the years, the Trust has constructed 13 schools in different parts of the region and has provided various interventions to children in remote corners of the country
Vikuonuo Sachu thanked her team and ST for the unflinching faith and said that the Centre was constructed in honour of her grandparents late T. Sachu who played a pivotal role in her life. She also expressed appreciation to the district administration Noklak for all the assistance rendered to the Society. She further shared her gratitude to the landowners and the community as a whole for supporting the construction of the Centre.
EAC Kathyinla, who spoke on behalf of the district administration stated that Vikuonuo’s goodness and purity at heart has made the Khiamniungan community embrace her as one of its own daughters.
She thanked TMS for the noble initiative and ST for breathing life into the project. CEO of Eduversity Prakash also spoke at the programme.
Earlier, executive secretary, KBCA Hempao, pronounced the dedicatory prayer.
