Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) Tuensang unit observed “International Nurses Day’ on May 12 at the Chapel of district hospital Tuensang.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, deputy commissioner Tuensang Alemjongshi emphasized on the importance of nursing day.
Terming the profession as a noble job, she said nurses have immensely contributed towards the betterment of society and people.
He also encouraged the nurses to render their valuable service with devotion and sincerity in order to fulfil their mission while discharging their service.
Highlighting the importance of “quality care and patient safely, Alemjongshi urged the nurses to emphasize on these areas while discharging their duties.
During the programme, theme speaker FHW School of nursing Tuensang principal, Vilhoulenuo Liezietsu said that nurses are the single largest profession in the health workforce.
The programme was attended by dignitaries and medical superintendent Dr. C. Tungoe, doctors, nurses, tutors, staffs of district hospital and other invitees. The programme was chaired by Nursing tutor TNAI president Tuensang unit, Chubasangla.
