Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) Tuensang unit joined the world in celebrating “International Nurses Day (IND)” on May 12 at District Hospital Tuensang (DHT) with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang, Nokchasashi as the chief guest.
Addressing the nurses, the DC appreciated and acknowledged their tireless services to the people. Referring on IND 2023 theme, ““Our Nurses, Our Future”, Nokchasashi emphasised on the importance of investing in nursing profession.
On the occasion, certificate of honour was awarded to the two oldest nurses from Tuensang district namely Ramtsula Yimchunger and Mathiam Khiamniungan.
The programme began with invocation by DHT chaplain, Kamchila, welcome address by TNAI Tuensang unit, S. Tongpangkokla Ozukum, special prayer for the nurses by Rev Sangkap, highlights on IND 2023 theme by Imsukumla and benediction by pastor, Ajong.
