Tobacco products seized in Mon

An enforcement drive against the sale of tobacco and other related products was carried out on July 21 at Mon Town under National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP). A press release by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mon Thavaseelan K informed that around 20 shops were found selling tobacco products.

A squad led by EAC (P) Nitile Tep, EAC (P) S. Chingmei, district nodal officer Dr. I. Simon Sumi, NTCP Mon, security forces and KSU officials conducted the drive and seized the banned products.

The DC informed that seized products were burnt by the team at Mon Town Council dumping site.
