
Minister for PHED, Tokheho Yepthomi inaugurated Government Middle School (GMS) Naharbari, Dimapur school gate here on Wednesday.
Speaking in a brief inaugural programme, Tokheho called upon the residents of the area to cooperate and to show unity in all activities of the village.
The minister appreciated the village council and the public for being actively involved in bringing all round development towards the village and the government school. He also lauded the qualified teachers of GMS for their dedication and sincerity in moulding the career of the students.
Citing a quote “a person who does not commit mistake has not done anything”, Tokheho requested the villagers to forgive each other and to face any obstacles together for the benefit of the village.
While delivering welcome speech NVC chairperson, Tokheli Kikon expressed gratitude to minister, Tokheho Yepthomi for his contribution towards the village in constructing the village approach road.
She particularly mentioned the good gesture of the minister for black-topping Lakhi Mandir Road in Padumpukhri pond area, Boro Kachari Church Road and Chavara Home and GMS Sports Complex. She further expressed the hope that minister would bring more development for Naharabari village.
Representation of up-gradation of GMS Naharbari to fully fledged high school was handed over to the minister.
Earlier, the inaugural programme was chaired by Naharbari village council secretar Mukibur Rahman, god’s blessing was invoked by associate professor OTS, Bade, Rev. Dr. C.Cho-o, vote of thanks was delivered by VDB secretary, Naharbari village, Purkumzuk Jamir.
