
Dimapur Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) held its first biannual meeting on Thursday at ARTC & S, under the chairmanship of commandant ARTC &S, Brig K. Narayanan.
The biannual meeting was attended by 26 members of central government offices situated in Dimapur. The programme was conducted by ARTC & S, Hindi officer, Narendra Singh Rathore.
Brig. K. Narayanan while assessing the progress regarding implementation of Hindi in central government offices in Dimapur, stressed on the importance of progressive use of Hindi.
He exhorted the members to implement the policies issued by the government of India, regarding publicity and implementation of the official language policy.
Hindi officer, Narendra Singh Rathore applauded the efforts of the members of TOLIC Dimapur for wide publicity of the official language.
Highlighting the importance of the progressive use of Hindi in central government offices, Rathore also requested the members to implement Hindi incentive schemes introduced by the government of India in their respective offices.
Representatives from TOLIC member offices also presented inputs on progressive use of the official language in their respective offices.
Research officer from department of Official Language, Regional Implementation Office (North East Region), Badri Yadav also attended the meeting as representative of Ministry of Home Affairs. Emphasizing on the need for imparting training to office staff, he reminded all offices to submit their report online to Official Language department for speedy uploading of reports.
Towards enhancing spirit of healthy competition among the central government offices, TOLIC Shield Scheme 2014-2015 was introduced, wherein first three member offices were adjudged as first, second and third in order of implementing official language policy.
The offices of the DIG, Range CRPF, Khatkhati Hqs, chief engineer Sevak Project Dimapur, Food Corporation of India, district office Dimapur was awarded first, second and third respectively. Commendation certificates were awarded to Central Bank of India, 32 Assam Rifles, 11 Tac Air Force, No 173 Bn CRPF and Power Grid Corporation Dimapur.
