The dedication-cum-handing over programme of hearse and medical equipment from 10 legislatures of Mokokchung district was held at Suteplenden Eco Camp, Longkong village here, Friday.
The hearse and medical equipment were handed over by minister PWD (housing & mechanical) and DPDB chairman, Tongpang Ozukum to the chairman, District Task Force & deputy commissioner (DC), Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir.
In his brief speech, Tongpang appreciated the dedication of the frontline workers against during the pandemic led by district administration.
He pointed out how the pandemic had enhanced healthcare facilities enormously and gave credit to the nine standing elected legislatures of the district in coming forward to further enhance the health facilities in the district.
The programme was chaired by district planning officer & member secretary district planning and development board
(DPDB), Imlikokba Longkumer and dedicatory prayer was said by MTBA associate pastor Rev. Sentimeren Jamir.
The hearse and medical equipment were procured under LADP 2021-22 for Mokokchung district by the 10 elected legislatures from Mokokchung district.
Mkg DPDB holds meeting; celebrates advent Christmas
Mokokchung District Development and Planning Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of December was held on Friday at Eco Camp, Suteplenden Longkong village. According to a DIPR report, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of minister PWD (housing & mechanical) & chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Tongpang Ozukum.
During the meeting, DC & vice chairman DPDB, Limawapang Jamir welcomed all the members to the meeting and observed a minute of silence for the victims of the Oting massacre.
The house reviewed last DPDB meeting minutes and discussed approval of translated documents of Villager Council Act and after thorough discussion approved the documents and gave more time to the committee members for authentic addition of the documents.
ADC Mangkolemba, Thaaram Raj gave a PowerPoint presentation on five-year action plan for aspirational block, Longchem over which the chairman suggested the house that he would hold a meeting with sub-divisional development board for its approval.
The meeting discussed Samagra Shiksha and its proposal, implementation and progress of work in the district; number of schools, teachers and students in each school under Mokokchung district which was presented by the educational; department in the form of PowerPoint.
Meanwhile, chief medical officer (CMO) Chubala Aier gave the COVID–19 and vaccination report in the district where she informed that 82% were vaccinated.
Superintendent of Police Mokokchung, Aotola Imchen highlighted the problem of cybercrime and social media awareness campaign.
Later, district education officer (DEO) Apong Jamir was introduced to the house.
The advent Christmas programme was chaired by Imtinungla invocation by CVO Mokokchung Dr. B.M Sunep, Christmas greetings from Longkonh Village Council, DC Mokokchung Limawapang Jamir and Tongpang Ozukum while the Christmas message was delivered by DDAO & PO, ATMA Mokokchung, Dr. Lanu Nochetla.
