Tongpang inaugurates PWD rental housing in Mkg

Minister PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum on August 2 inaugurated the PWD Rental Housing at Marepkong Ward, Mokokchung.
According to a DIPR report, speaking at the inaugural programme, the minister thanked landowners for donating the land for free and said such gestures should be emulated by others so as to develop the district.
Tongpang also advised the department to have a comprehensive plan on how to manage the Rental Housing.
He also appreciated the contractor for timely completion of the project and EE PWD Mokokchung for constant monitoring and supervision.
The rental housing project funded by HUDCO aims to accommodate government officers and staff on rental basis thereby generate revenue for the department.
At the programme, technical report was given by PWD (H) Mokokchung division Er. Nungsang Jamir and a dedicatory prayer by Marepkong Baptist Church, pastor S Mar.
Short speech was delivered by Chief Engineer Housing Nagaland Er. Tiameren.
The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mokokchung, Additional S.P Mokokchung, Chief Engineer PWD Housing, representatives from wards Mokokchung, Ao Senden, Marepkong ward councils, other officers and well-wishers.
