Minister PWD (mechanical & housing), Tongpang Ozukum, Friday inspected the newly constructed commerce wing at Fazl Ali College (FAC).
The minster after the inspection convened a meeting with the faculty where it was informed that the approval for commerce wing was yet to be obtained from the government.
However, he informed that process for creation of posts was underway which would be followed by administrative approval.
During the interaction, Tongpang assured all possible help from his side in order to coordinate, monitor and pursue the matter.
Meanwhile, with regard to road construction (highway-college), the minister said that he would look into it and expressed hope that things would be materialised soon.
It may be mentioned that construction for the commerce wing at FAC has been completed and is expected to commence from this academic session.
However, it is yet to get approval from the state government.
Earlier, the interaction also discussed various topics with regard to infrastructure developments at the college besides impending third National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) assessment scheduled at the end of 2021.
