Top 4 finalists to vie for the season 10 of Naga Chef title

The finalists who made it to the Naga Chef Season 10 competition to be held at Kisama during the 2023 Hornbill Festival are: Kazusangba Jamir, Lucy Tungoe, Paotinsen Kuki and Yashimenla Longkumer.


The competitions for Naga Chef Season 10 began on November 16, at State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM) with 14 participants who were screened from a total of 21 applicants.


In the past one week, there were a total of six competitions, where participants were judged on their creative skills, cooking up dishes from starters to mains and desserts using only indigenous ingredients.


A pantry-full of ingredients sourced from local markets and villages were provided to the participants who were given freedom to utilize them as they wished.


The judges were principal of SIHM, chef Indranil Roychoudhury, director of YouthNet, Nuneseno Chase, social entrepreneur and state convenor of INTACH, Sentila T. Yanger, founder of Naga Bowl Express, Alemjungla Jamir, and chef Loni Khing.
The dishes were judged on the parameters of taste, authenticity, presentation and the cook’s food knowledge.
