‘Total cease work’ by NSEAOA, NSSFOF, ANSTA from March 2

In protest against government’s failure to redress their grievances as assured, three associations of the education department– Nagaland School Education Administrative Officers Association (NSEAOA), Nagaland Secondary School Field Officers Forum (NSSFOF) and All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) – have decided to resume “total cease work” agitation from March 2.
In a joint press release, ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth, NSSFOF convenor Mezhu-U Hozoyeh and NSEAOA vice president Ekonthung Lotha pointed out that they had earlier served 7-day ultimatum on government on November 19, 2014.
The Associations however kept their ultimatum under suspension following the intervention of the chief minister on November 20. They said the CM assured he would address the demands at the earliest possible time after which the proposed “total cease work” which was to scheduled from November 25,2014 had been temporarily called off. However, the signatories said even after having waited patiently for nearly three months, nothing concrete was done till date with regard to the assurances.
In the light of the matter, the associations said they felt cheated by the government and therefore, have decided to resume suspension of their proposed “total cease work” till such time, the government issued official notification in meeting their demands.
Meanwhile, in view of proposed stir, the associations have convened a meeting on February 26, at 11 a.m. in the conference hall of CANSSEA office. All executive members of the associations, DEOs, SDEOs, asst. directors, dy. directors, HMs, AHMs, JEOs have been requested to attend the meeting and get updated with the issues under active considerations by the three associations.
