
Tourism department, along with Nagaland Tourism Association observed Swachhata Pakhwada under Swachh Bharat Mission on September 25 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
On the occasion, advisor tourism, H. Khehovi Yepthomi said Naga Heritage village represent all the Naga community and not only one tribe, and therefore appealed to all the tribes, neighbouring villages and visitors to have a sense of responsibility in making the surrounding clean. He also expressed gratitude to all the participants. With regard to the upcoming Hornbill Festival 2018, he said tourism being the nodal department for the event will endeavour towards making it a plastic free zone. He also appealed to the PHED department to provide more waste bins in strategic locations and restoration of pipelines which were damaged during the monsoon.
The event was also graced by secretary tourism, T. Mhabemo Yanthan.
