In view of the surge in dengue case in Dimapur, Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) initiated a fogging programme here on Tuesday.
The fogging programme was assisted by advisor of Tribal Affairs and Election Department, H Tovihoto Ayemi,
In a press release, Media Cell of H. Tovihoto Ayemi informed that DUCCF president Zasivikho Zakiesato, informed that the drive commenced at Lake View colony and will cover 98 colonies within 23 municipal wards of Dimapur district. Zakiesato said the fogging will be initiated to control the outbreak of dengue as the district reported more 1300 dengue cases. He therefore urged the denizens of Dimapur under DMC to maintain cleanliness and clear stagnant water to prevent mosquito breeding. He also acknowledged Tovihoto Ayemi for his support.
Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) president Etsungmomo Kikon thanked advisor Tovihoto for the support and thanked DUCCF for initiating the fogging program. Earlier, before starting the drive, an invocation was offered by chairman Lake View Colony, Tomzuk Pongen.
