DIMAPUR: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka to establish the “TKM Bizintel Hub” at KWIN City near Bengaluru, aiming to strengthen engineering capabilities and digital innovation in India.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Industries Minister Dr. M.B. Patil, senior government officials, and representatives from Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
Spread across 300 acres, the proposed hub will focus on testing and evaluation of mobility solutions, digital transformation, and intelligent manufacturing initiatives. The project is expected to enhance India’s role in Toyota’s global operations by leveraging the country’s skilled engineering and IT talent.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the partnership would boost technology-driven investments, generate quality employment, and support sustainable industrial growth in Karnataka.
TKM chairman, MD & CEO Masakazu Yoshimura said the initiative aligns with Toyota’s focus on localization, sustainable mobility, and national priorities such as “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
The TKM Bizintel Hub will be located in KWIN (Knowledge, Wellbeing, and Innovation) City along the Doddaballapur–Dabaspet Highway, a smart city project being developed by the Karnataka government with a focus on innovation, healthcare, and information technology.
