DIMAPUR: A joint consultative meeting convened between the Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO), Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) and Kohima Traders Association (KTA) was held on July 24 at the KVYO office, Ziekezou.
The meeting adopted a key resolution aimed at streamlining trade administration and fostering unity within the business fraternity of the state capital. Deliberations focused on organisational structures, coordination and the collective welfare of Kohima’s business community.
It was decided that the nomenclature of KTA would be changed to “Traders Grievances Cell.” The restructured entity will henceforth function under the banner and aegis of KCCI as the apex body. The Traders Grievances Cell will continue its mandate of safeguarding traders’ rights, addressing grievances and promoting overall welfare under the guidance and leadership of KCCI.
All parties expressed confidence that the reorganisation would foster greater harmony, streamline coordination between youth bodies and business associations, and establish a stronger framework for socio economic growth in the region.
