Trade bodies warn of indefinite shutter down

District Chambers of Commerce and Industry from nine districts have jointly issued a two-week ultimatum to the state government, regarding their demand for nominee representation in their respective Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

A joint statement signed by representatives from nine trade bodies– Dimapur, Zunheboto, Chümoukedima, Meluri, Phek, Niuland, Wokha, Tseminyu and Peren, warned that failure on the part of the state government to respond positively would compel them to implement an indefinite shutter down in their respective districts.
