The office of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha has issued a public directive regulating traffic movement in light of ongoing road and side drainage construction along the stretch from Police Point to Molonsu Colony Junction.
The directive issued mandates a complete closure of the road from Police Point to the Bazar area for a period of two months starting October 9. The measure aims to ensure public safety, facilitate smooth vehicular movement, and maintain traffic discipline during the construction period.
As part of the regulation, the taxi stand at Tsumang Ward is to be temporarily relocated.
Taxis arriving from the Bhandari side are directed to park at the NST Bus Stand area, while those arriving from the Kohima side are to be stationed near the Fishery Office.
All taxi owners and commuters have been instructed to strictly comply with the relocation order. The administration has cautioned that non-compliance will invite strict action as per law.
The directive has been issued in the interest of public convenience and to enable effective execution of the construction works.
